- Berkeley City Resolution to End Racial Discrimination
In 1990, the Berkeley City Council adopted a Human Rights ordinance based on United Nations Charter Articles 55 and 56. In 1994, the U.S. ratified the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD). In 2007, the Berkeley City Council this resolution to adopt the obligations of CERD as a municipal responsibility. - One
